HARTFORD - Jordan Stephens struck out a season-high eight and allowed three hits in five scoreless innings, pacing the Akron RubberDucks to a 6-0 rain-shortened win over the Hartford Yard Goats Saturday night, before a capacity crowd of 6,850 at Dunkin' Donuts Park. The game was called after 5 ?1/2 innings, following a 51-minute rain delay. It was Hartford's seventh loss in its last eight games.

The game marked the 33rd sellout this season at Dunkin' Donuts Park and 11th straight. It was also the 16th capacity crowd and lifted the Yard Goats attendance to 293,677.

Akron (13-24), which has won all six games against Hartford (15-21) this season, including the first three games of this four-game set, scored the only run it needed in the first inning on a two-out RBI single by Connor Marabell.

The Ducks broke open the game against Hartford starter Antonio Santos with a five-run fourth inning. After Nellie Rodriguez reached first on a third strike wild pitch, Akron strung together six straight singles, led by Alexis Pantoja's two-run hit.

Santo's, a right-hander making his home debut, pitched five innings, allowing six runs on nine hits. He walked one and struck out five.

Vance Vizcaino and Mylz Jones each had double for the Yard Goats. Pantoja's two hits and two RBI and a double, single and RBI from Nolan Jones led Akron's 10-hit attack.

The final game of the four-game series is tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. LHP Jack Wynkoop will pitch for Hartford, while RHP Eli Morgan will start for Akron. The game will be broadcast on News Radio 1410 AM, on 100.9 FM, in Spanish on 1120 AM and on the Internet on newsradio1410.iheart.com and on MiLB.com. It will be New Haven Day and kids will get to run the bases, after the game.
