ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a six-game homestand as the take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) in the first game of a three-game weekend series at Jerry Uht Park. The ‘Wolves are coming off a series win against Portland. Erie took the first two games of the series but could not complete the sweep as they fell to the Sea Dogs 5-3 in the finale on Thursday night. With last night's loss, the ‘Wolves have dropped to 5.5 games behind first place Akron and to 2.5 games behind second place Reading...After opening the season playing 56 consecutive games against Southern Division opponents, the SeaWolves are in a stretch of 12 straight games against the EL North. Erie will play 41 games against the Northern Division this season...The Fisher Cats are in fifth place in the North, seven games out of first. The Cats dropped were swept in an abbreviated two-game series in Akron and were rained out last night in the series finale. New Hampshire has dropped seven of its last 10 games. The Fisher Cats enter tonight's game with the top pitching staff in the EL with a 3.33 team ERA...Righty Pat Stanley takes the mound for the ‘Wolves making his fourth start. He is coming off of a rough outing against Bowie in his last start going five innings, allowing eight runs, six earned, on 11 hits with a walk and two strikeouts. Stanley is still in search of his first Erie win. He has spent time at three levels of the Tigers minor league chain (LAK, ERIE, TOL)...Lefty Mark Rzepczynski takes the mound for the Fisher Cats. Rzepczynski leads the EL with 72 strikeouts. He snapped a string of three straight loss in taking a no-decision in his last start at Harrisburg

TODAY'S NOTABLES -

- Erie won the 2008 season series over New Hampshire 4-2. The SeaWolves and Fisher Cats meet six times in 2009.

- Erie's pitching staff is sixth in the league with a 3.71 team ERA. New Hampshire is the top pitching staff in the EL with a 3.33 team ERA.

- Erie is tied for second in the league with a .273 team batting average. New Hampshire is 11th in the league, hitting .245 as a team.

- The SeaWolves lead the league with 70 home runs and 304 runs scored. Erie has hit 21 more home runs that the next closest team (Harrisburg with 49). The ‘Wolves are also the first EL team to reach the 300 run plateau.

- Scott Sizemore is tied for fourth in the league with 67 hits. He is third in the league with 28 extra-base hits.

- The ‘Wolves are three games under .500 in June (4-7)
