Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a six-game road trip as they begin a three-game weekend series at First Energy Stadium against the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Philllies). Last night, the SeaWolves avoided a sweep with a 7-4 win over New Britain. The 'Wolves jumped ahead 4-0 in the top of the first and held off a late Rock Cats charge for the victory. The win also snapped a three-game losing skid...This will be Erie's only series at Reading this season. The 'Wolves and R-Phils meet for their second series. Reading took two of three from Erie during a three-game set at Jerry Uht Park July 19-21...Righty Brooks Brown takes the mound for the Howlers making his 24th appearance and 13th start of the season. He picked up a win in his last outing against Binghamton allowing four runs on six hits with a walk and eight strikeouts in six innings of work. Brown has alternated wins and losses in his last four starts. He is 1-0 against the Phillies...Righty J.C. Ramirez takes the mound for Reading. Ramirez is making his 10th start with the Phillies and second against Erie. He took a no-decision in his last start against Akron allowing six runs, five earned, on nine hits with no walks and three strikeouts in 6.1 innings. He took a no-decision against the 'Wolves on July 20 allowing six runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings of work.
