Tonight, the SeaWolves continue their six-game road trip as they start a three-game series against the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) at New Britain Stadium. This marks the only trip for the SeaWolves into New Britain this season. Last night, the 'Wolves dropped the series finale in Altoona 5-4 and the club has now dropped three of its last four games...Yesterday's loss dropped the SeaWolves back to two-games under .500 and in fifth place in the EL West, six games behind first place Harrisburg...The Rock Cats enter play in third place in the EL Eastern Division, 3.5 games out of first. New Britain is coming off of a 14-3 drubbing of the Akron Aeros on Thursday. The Rock Cats boast one of the leagues better offenses as they are hitting .268 as a team (3rd in EL) and have scored 264 runs...The 'Wolves send righty Brooks Brown to the mound making his first appearance in 2011. Brown began the season on the Toledo disabled list and was activated on June 5 and reassigned to Erie. Brown was Erie's pitcher of the year in 2010 and has spend parts of the last two seasons with the Howlers...New Britain will counter with RHP Bobby Lanigan making his 12th start. Lanigan took a loss in his last start at Bowie allowing six runs, five earned, on 11 hits with a walk and four strikeouts in five innings of work. Lanigan is 3-1 with a 3.19 ERA in five starts at home...The SeaWolves have won two of the last four season series over New Britain. The two clubs split in 08-09. The last time New Britain has won a season series over Erie was 2005 when the Rock Cats took five of the six meetings between the two clubs.
