LINCOLN - Pat Trettel launched his first home run and Garrett Sherrill was terrific in relief but the Saltdogs fell to the Kansas City T-Bones 7-5 in 11 innings at Haymarket Park Tuesday night.

Lincoln extended its lead to 5-2 on a Phil Hawke double in the fifth inning but wouldn't be able to muster a run the rest of the way.

Johnny Bowden stroked a two-out, two-run single to even the score in the sixth and T-Bones tallied two in the top of the 11th to even the series at a game a piece.

Steven Stewart (3-3) pitched two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. Paul Koss (1-4) allowed two runs in two innings to suffer the loss. Sherrill tossed three hitless innings, striking out three.

Trettel's home run was a solo shot to right to lead off the second inning.

Gavin Dickey was ejected from the game in the first inning arguing balls and strikes. Two T-Bones players and their manager were tossed in the late innings.
