
Earthquakes Face Sporting Kansas City Tonight

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (3-7-3; 12 pts.) face Sporting Kansas City (8-3-2; 26 pts.) at Children's Mercy Park tonight at 5:30 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
San Jose holds an 25-28-8 all-time record against Sporting Kansas City, including an 8-21-1 record away from home. The Quakes seek their first victory at Children's Mercy Park since prevailing 5-0 on Aug. 19, 2015.
The Earthquakes are coming off back-to-back road draws against Minnesota United FC and the Colorado Rapids, two of the top six teams in the Western Conference. Tonight's match is the sixth consecutive for San Jose against an opponent with a winning record. The Quakes will be without team captain Jackson Yueill and leading scorer Cade Cowell as both players are currently with the U.S. National Team.
Sporting Kansas City is currently in second place in the West with an 8-3-2 record and a league-best 24 goals scored. SKC is on a three-game winning streak in which they have outscored opponents 7-2.
