Los Angeles FC News Release

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) fell 2-1 in Portland on Wednesday night as Felipe Mora scored a goal in the final seconds to give the Timbers the win. The loss ends LAFC's three-game winning streak and is the Club's first loss since June 26.

Portland took the lead in the 2nd minute on a goal by Diego Valeri, but LAFC answered back quickly, tying the match in the 17th minute as Carlos Vela finished off an impressive string of passes from Diego Rossi and Eddie Segura.

It appeared the game was heading for a 1-1 tie, until Felipe Mora jumped in the box and headed home the game-winner off a cross from Sebastian Blanco just seconds before the final whistle.

LAFC returns to action on Saturday, July 24 at Banc of California Stadium against the Vancouver Whitecaps. That game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on My13 KCOP, Estrella TV, 1110 AM ESPN, and 980 AM La Mera La Mera.
