Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Clinton Lumber Kings (affiliate of the Miami Marlins) in the second game of a three-game series.

Streaks: The Dragons have won three of their last four games after losing the previous six.

Last Game: Monday: Dayton 5, Clinton 4. Bren Spillane blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to erase a 4-3 deficit. Clinton had scored three runs in the top of the eighth to take the lead, courtesy of a two-out, three-run double by Will Banfield. The Dragons established a season high for home runs in a game by connecting on four. Mariel Bautista, Morgan Lofstrom, and Carlos Rivero joined Spillane with homers, with those by Lofstrom and Rivero coming back-to-back in the third inning. Dragons starting pitcher Lyon Richardson worked a career-high six innings, allowing just one unearned run on two hits.

Team Notes

The Dragons earned their first "last at-bat" win of 2019 on Monday when Bren Spillane hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 5-4 lead and eventual win.

Dragons pitchers have allowed four runs or less in five straight games for the first time in 2019 (they had not done it in three straight games prior to these last five games). The team ERA over the last five games is 3.09 (44 IP, 15 ER) compared to the full-season ERA of 5.31.

The Dragons have committed just two errors in their last seven games.

Individual Notes

Jay Schuyler over his last 12 games: 13 for 40 (.325) with eight runs batted in. He is batting a team-leading .302 for the year.

Dragons shortstop Miguel Hernandez has committed just one error since April 15 covering 16 games.
