Maine Celtics News Release

PORTLAND, Maine - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, announced today that the NBA G League has named Two-Way Players P.J. Dozier and R.J. Hunter to the Eastern Conference Midseason All-NBA G League Team.

This marks the second consecutive season that both Red Claws Two-Way Players received this honor. NBA G League coaches, general managers and players voted on the top performers from the first half of the season from their respective conferences, based on player performance in games through Jan. 22, 2019.

Dozier, a 6-6 guard out of South Carolina, joined the Red Claws after spending his rookie season with Oklahoma City. In 33 games with Maine this season, Dozier is averaging 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. He recorded the teams' lone triple-double in a win over Long Island on Dec. 16.

Hunter, a veteran guard, joined the Red Claws when the Boston Celtics signed him to a Two-Way Contract on Jan. 10, after playing the beginning of the season with the Erie Bayhawks. Between Maine and Erie, Hunter has played in 32 games this season, averaging 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.

The Red Claws return to action tonight at Raptors 905, beginning a four-game road trip. Maine returns home on Sunday, Feb. 24 for a Sunday matinee against Windy City.
