Pacers Sign Edmond Sumner

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Indiana Pacers announced today they have converted two-way guard Edmond Sumner to a standard NBA contract. Per team policy, terms were not revealed.

In 17 games this season with Fort Wayne, Sumner averaged 23.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.

The Xavier University product led the Mad Ants in scoring nine times this season.

During his time with the Pacers this season on a two-way contract, Sumner played in 17 games - which included a starting nod for the Pacers on Jan. 28 against the Golden State Warriors.

Sumner averaged 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 14 games last season during his rookie campaign.

The Mad Ants head out to face Lakeland on Wednesday night, and will return home on Friday, Feb. 23 to take on Canton. Tickets are available by visiting ftwaynemadants.com or calling 260-469-4667.
