
Delaware 87ers to Honor Pam Cornforth, Delaware Ronald McDonald House CEO and President

NEWARK, DE.-March 20, 2014- The Delaware 87ers today announced Pam Cornforth, Delaware Ronald McDonald House President and CEO will receive the Sevens "Hero Among Us" award on March 22 when the Sevens host the Canton Charge at the Bob Carpenter Center at 7 p.m.
Pam has performed exceptional and overwhelming work in the Delaware community through the Delaware Ronald McDonald House, a housing facility for the families of patients at the Nemours AI duPont Hospital. In her 14 years of leadership at the DRMH, she has overseen the growth of the Delaware based organization to better accommodate and serve families in need. A former member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Global Advisory board, Pam extends her obligation to the community far beyond her duties at the DRMH. She is a member of the Board of Directors at the Rotary Club of Wilmington, the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors for DANA (Delaware Association of Nonprofit Agencies), Co-Chair of the State Chamber of Commerce Small Business Alliance Board of Managers, has served as President of the Junior League of Wilmington and was the sustainer advisor to their Board of Directors.
On Heels and Hoops night, a night to celebrate the influential work being carried out by woman in the community, the 87ers will also welcome Lara Price, Philadelphia 76ers Executive Vice President of Business Operations for an exclusive Q&A session to be held at 5:30 p.m. Admission to the Q&A session will be secured through the purchase of a ticket to Saturday night's 87ers game.
