Statement from AHL President and CEO David Andrews on Dan Sernoffsky, the Lebanon Daily News sportswriter who passed away Wednesday morning after a battle with cancer:
The American Hockey League is saddened by the news of Dan's passing today. He was well respected by his peers for his coverage of the Hershey Bears and the AHL, and you'd be hard pressed to find a writer more dedicated to his beat than Dan was, right up until the end.
Our condolences go out to his wife Jan, his entire family and his friends and colleagues.
