Senators Recall Jim O'Brien from Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 23, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Jim O'Brien from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .

The recall is the 21-year-old O'Brien's fourth of the 2010-11 campaign. In four National Hockey League games this season, he has recorded no points and two penalty minutes.

A native of Maplewood, Minn., O'Brien has scored 16 goals while adding 23 assists and 55 penalty minutes in 51 games with the B-Sens this season. He has recorded points in six consecutive AHL games, including his first professional hat trick in Binghamton's 6-2 win over the Charlotte Checkers on Feb. 18.

The Senators next see action this evening when they host the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m.
