
B-Sens Sign Forward Ben Gordon

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have signed forward Ben Gordon to a professional try-out contract.
Gordon, 26, joins the B-Sens from the Reading Royals (ECHL), where he leads the team in scoring with 48 points (22 goals, 26 assists). He has also recorded 49 penalty minutes and is a plus-18 in 46 games with the Royals.
This is Gordon's third stint in the American Hockey League this season. The 5-11, 162-pound forward has been signed twice by the North Division's Rochester Americans where he has appeared in six games, recording two assists and adding two penalty minutes. Overall, Gordon has skated in 22 career AHL games with Abbotsford, Providence, Rochester and Toronto, recording two goals, seven assists and adding eight penalty minutes.
The native of International Falls, Minn. played four seasons (2004-08) at the University of Minnesota, collecting 98 points (39 goals, 59 assists) in 148 career games for the Golden Gophers. He was awarded the Dr. V. George Nagobads Unsung Hero Award during his sophomore season in 2005-06.
The B-Sens return to action tonight as they host the league-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
