Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Following a brief two-game road trip to Texas and Oklahoma, the Milwaukee Admirals return to the Bradley Center ice on Friday, February 25 at 7:00 pm to host the Chicago Wolves, followed by a special post-game concert by the Dropkick Murphys, presented by Miller Lite, Time Warner Cable, Lee Jeans and Toyota.
The Admirals booked the Dropkick Murphys late last summer for an encore performance this season after they put on a rousing concert for Ads fans after a 7-6 win over the Wolves last year. Their newest album, Going Out In Style, will be released on March 1.
The concert is free to attend with a game ticket and a limited number of on-ice passes are still available for purchase. The on-ice passes, which are $20, allow fans exclusive access to watch the concert from ice level directly in front of the stage. The on-ice passes must be purchased in addition to a game ticket.
The Dropkick Murphys, an Irish-American Celtic Punk band originating in Boston, have grown from a local group to one of the best known rock bands in the world, thanks in large part to their extraordinary live shows. The band, which has released six albums, attributes their music to a mixing of several genres including punk rock, Irish folk, rock and hardcore music.
In 1998, the Dropkick Murphys released their first full length album Do or Die, and since then have had many successful singles including smash hits "Walk Away" from their 2003 album Blackout, and "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," which as been certified platinum, from their 2006 album The Warrior's Code.
In 2007, the Dropkick Murphys made their major-label debut with The Meanest of Times, released by Warner Bros. Records, and last March they released their second live album Live on Lansdowne, Boston MA, which featured the band's first full-length live DVD, and debuted at number 25 on the Billboard Charts.
