The Senators enter tonight's action tied with Norfolk for fourth place in the East Division at 66 points apiece... The Sens and Pens have split their first six clashes this year, most recently a 2-1 victory by Binghamton on Jan. 29... Two of the Sens' top three scorers - Erik Condra (17-29-46) and Jim O'Brien (16-23-49) - are on NHL recall to Ottawa along with AHL leading rookie goal-scorer Bobby Butler (22-11-33)... Binghamton's Corey Locke continues to lead the league in assists (53) and points (71) through 50 games and brings an eight-game scoring streak (2-10-12) into this tilt... Defenseman Derek Smith has a point in four straight (2-2-4) for the Senators... Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 6-1-0-0 in its last seven games, and top AHL goaltender Brad Thiessen (24-5-0, 1.77, .930) has allowed just four goals on 164 shots (.976) in that span... Ben Street shows eight goals and 10 points in his last eight contests, and Keven Veilleux has a point in five of his last seven outings (2-4-6)... Binghamton boasts the AHL's top-rated power play (23.1 percent), but Wilkes-Barre has 10 shorthanded goals on the year, tied with Lake Erie for second-most in the league.
Now just three points up on Charlotte for second place in the East Division, Hershey looks to get back on track this week with visits to Toronto tonight and Lake Erie on Thursday... The Bears are coming off a 5-0 loss to the third-place Checkers on Sunday and are just 2-4-0-0 in their last six games after going 10-0-0-1 in their previous 11... Hershey has two players among the AHL's top ten in scoring - reigning league MVP Keith Aucoin (fourth, 15-41-56) and Brian Willsie (ninth, 23-27-50)... Aucoin has been held off the scoresheet in each of the Bears' four losses during this current slump... Boyd Kane has registered five points (2-3-5) in his last three games for Hershey, and Steve Pinizzotto shows four points (2-2-4) in that span... Toronto earned a 3-2 road win on Nov. 12 in these teams' only prior meeting of 2010-11... Former first-round draft pick Nazem Kadri is riding a four-game scoring streak (3-3-6) for the Marlies, and the rookie has averaged a point per game in the AHL this season (13-20-33 in 33 GP)... Rookie Joe Colborne, another former first-rounder, has notched three goals in two games since joining the Marlies via trade, and Ryan Hamilton has registered 6-5-11 in his last 12 contests... Toronto features the AHL's best penalty kill (86.5 percent), while Hershey is seventh on the power play (20.2).
Fresh off a two-game weekend sweep of Abbotsford and winners of three straight overall, Oklahoma City welcomes West Division-leading Milwaukee to the Cox Convention Center tonight... Despite currently sitting sixth in the division and out of a playoff position, the Barons are just six points back of the front-running Admirals... Oklahoma City has not hosted the Admirals since taking back-to-back victories on Nov. 21 and 23... Barons forward Mark Arcobello scored in both of the team's victories over Abbotsford last weekend, just his third and fourth AHL contests of the season... Alexandre Giroux ranks second in the AHL in goals (28) and is tied for second in points (62) through 56 games for Oklahoma City, and he has registered six goals in his last seven contests (6-3-9)... The Barons' Colin McDonald is on a three-game assist streak (0-3-3), and goaltender Martin Gerber has denied 51 of 52 shots (.981) over his last two appearances... Milwaukee is coming off a 5-4 come-from-behind win over Houston on Tuesday and is 8-2-0-1 in its last 11 games... Chris Mueller (2-1-3) and Linus Klasen (1-2-3) each have a game-high three points against Oklahoma City this year... Mueller has recorded 4-3-7 in his last eight outings overall...
