
Dallas Stars Recall Cameron Gaunce

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced today defenseman Cameron Gaunce has been called up to the NHL. Gaunce (GAWNS) becomes the sixth different player this year from the Texas roster to be called up to the NHL.
Gaunce, 24, has posted three points (one goal, two assists) in 29 games played for Texas this season. Last season, he split his time between Dallas and Texas. With Dallas, he appeared in nine games recording a +1 plus/minus rating and seven penalty minutes. With Texas, he recorded 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) in 65 regular season games. In 18 playoff contests, he recorded four points (four assists), including three assists in the Calder Cup Final series-clinching victory.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Sudbury, Ontario was selected by Colorado in the second round (50th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft. He was acquired by Dallas from Colorado in exchange for Tomas Vincour on April 2, 2013.
