Amerks Recall Kea; Sign Fullerton and Reid to PTO Contracts

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has recalled forward Justin Kea from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. In addition, the Amerks have signed goaltender Travis Fullerton and forward Brodie Reid to professional tryout contracts (PTO).

Kea, 20, has appeared in 25 games with Elmira this season, recording eight points (3+5) and 33 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in one AHL game with the Amerks this season. In four seasons with Saginaw of the Ontario Hockey League, Kea, a native of Woodville, Ontario, collected 117 points (51+66) and 324 penalty minutes in 253 games. The 6-foot-4, 206-pound forward was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Fullerton, 27, has appeared in 17 ECHL games this season with the Elmira Jackals, posting a record of 9-4-0-2 with a 2.81 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. In 64 career ECHL games with San Francisco, Las Vegas and Elmira, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound native of Riverview, New Brunswick, has posted a 23-26-5-4 record with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.

Reid, 25, has appeared in 12 AHL games this season with the Adirondack Flames and St. John's IceCaps, totaling five points (3+2) and two penalty minutes. He has also recorded nine points (3+6) in nine ECHL games with Elmira this year. In 167 career AHL games with Worcester, Adirondack and St. John's, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Delta, British Columbia, has registered 76 points (34+42) and 46 penalty minutes.
