Senators Come Back to Defeat Bears in Overtime

HERSHEY, Pa. - Ryan Dzingel capped off the second comeback of the night by the Binghamton Senators, as his goal 2:45 into overtime sent the visitors to a 4-3 victory over the Hershey Bears on Saturday night at GIANT Center.
Each team would trade power play chances in the opening period, and on the Bears' third opportunity the club hit pay dirt. Dustin Gazley got in front of a Tomas Kundratek slapper and tipped it past Senators goaltender Scott Greenham at 16:02.
Chris Brown, whom Greenham robbed on Hershey's first power play chance, made no mistake about one-timing a Chris Conner feed from the corner into the upper-left corner at 17:25 for a 2-0 Hershey lead.
The Senators made the game interesting in the second period, scoring just 1:31 into the contest. With Pheonix Copley out of position to the right of the crease, Fredrik Claesson crept toward traffic, found the loose puck and tucked it home to put the visitors on the board.
The Bears would later turn the puck over behind the net and with Copley scrambling to get back into position, Carter Camper passed to his right where Cole Schneider ripped a shot over Copley at 9:51 to knot the score.
But Camper would take his second penalty of the period late in the frame, and the Bears would cash in. Kris Newbury was stationed at the net front, and was able to deposit the rebound of a Stanislav Galiev shot from the left circle at 17:48 for a 3-2 advantage.
Hershey was handed an opportunity to take a strong hold on the contest when David Dziurzynski caught Kundratek with a high stick and was given a four-minute penalty. The Senators killed it off, and later got the equalizer on their fourth power play of the night. Alex Grant fired a slap shot from the left point and with Derek Grant setting a screen in front, the puck sailed past Copley with 3:43 left in regulation.
Dzingel brought the Senators off in celebration when he snapped a shot along the ice and through the pads of Copley on a two-on-one rush.
Copley drops to 5-3-1 on the season, making 27 saves on 31 shots. Greenham picked up the win with 22 saves and improved to 6-4-1.
