Cyclones Sign Jamie Coghlan, Lose St. Denis To Recall

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2008 Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones, announced today that they have signed defenseman Jamie Coghlan. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

Coghlan, 24, was a free agent after Fresno (ECHL) folded on December 22. With the Falcons, the six-foot-three, 195 pound native of Toronto, played in twelve games and an assist and nine penalty minutes. The rookie was a three-time letterwinner at Mercyhurst, playing in 81 games and collecting three goals and six assists for nine points with 76 penalty minutes.

In other news, rookie defenseman Frederic St. Denis has been recalled to the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL). He will report to the Bulldogs on Thursday.
