Thunder Deals Defenseman Jorgensen to Phoenix

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, announced rookie defenseman Jim Jorgensen has been traded to the Phoenix RoadRunners in exchange for future considerations.

Jorgensen, 23, has scored five points (1g-3a) in 24 combined games between the Las Vegas Wranglers and Gladiators this season, posting eight penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 198-pound blueliner was acquired by Gwinnett, from Las Vegas on Nov. 1 in exchange for future considerations and made his pro debut with Las Vegas last season, notching three points (1g-2a) and 10 penalty minutes in eight games.

Jorgensen was originally acquired along with defenseman Preston Briggs from the Gwinnett Gladiators on Dec. 28, 2008 in exchange for future considerations.
