Cyclones Place Mitch Woods on Suspended List

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2008 Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones, announced today that they have placed forward Mitch Woods on the club's suspended list. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

Woods, 22, quit the team on Tuesday and is returning to his home in Saskatchewan. He has been placed on the Cyclones suspended list and his rights are maintained by the club. Mitch will be unable to play hockey for any other North American professional hockey team while under suspension.

The five-foot-eleven, 175 pound native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan appeared in twelve games with the Cyclones and had a goal and two assists for three points and 41 penalty minutes.

The Cyclones host Wheeling on Friday night in Cyclones/Montreal Canadiens jerseys that fans can bid on after the game. It is also Donato's one dollar pizza slice night as well. Saturday night, Wheeling is in for another 7:30pm tilt.
