TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Cyclones wrap up their busiest month on record tonight as they play their 17th game in 28 days against the Greenville Road Warriors. The Clones took three out of four possible points from Dean Stork's club earlier this year and lead the All-Time Series by a 4-1-0-2 count.
TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: BIG BEER TUESDAY / $1 CITY BBQ / NASCAR NIGHT - Fans 21+ can enjoy 24-ounce beers for just $2 and $1 City BBQ! Plus, fans are encouraged to wear their favorite NASCAR attire!
SCOUTING THE ROAD WARRIORS: Greenville finds itself in a dog-fight for the top spot in the South Division standings, sitting just one point back of Gwinnett. They've won six out of their last ten games, but have been hovering around .500 when playing away from the BI-LO Center (15-13-0-1). Forward Justin Bowers has been the offensive leader for the Road Warriors, collecting an ECHL second-best 67 points (17 goals, 50 assists) in 54 games. His assist totals are the most in the league. Brendan Connolly has also been a major weapon for Dean Stork's club; this year, the fourth-year pro has amassed 55 points (24 goals, 31 assists) in 37 games. Goaltender Jason Missiaen has started in four straight contests for the Road Warriors and has collectively earned a 15-12-0-2 record with a 3.04 goals-against average. This year against the Clones, Missiaen is 0-1 with a 6.16 GAA.
Broadway Bullies: Cincinnati has been one of the top teams in the league this year when playing at 100 Broadway. Their 20 home wins ranks third-most in the entire ECHL. While using home-ice advantage, the Clones have outscored their opponents by a total of 105-83.
Cardiac Clones: The Clones have found ways to win games despite being behind on the scoreboard. They have 14 come-from-behind wins, which far surpasses their totals in each of the last two seasons. They are one away from tying their 2008-09 mark of 15 such victories. Not surprisingly, they have found most of their offense in the third period, striking 60 times in the final frame.
Eastern Conference Playoff Race: The top eight teams at season's end earn a Kelly Cup Playoff bid. Division leaders earn the top three seeds.
