Hutchings Reassigned to Norfolk; McGinnis Recalled by Syracuse

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced Tuesday that forward Alex Hutchings has been reassigned by the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. Additionally, defenseman Ryan McGinnis has been recalled by the Syracuse Crunch (AHL)

Hutchings has posted 24 points (12g, 12a0 and a plus-4 rating in 23 games with the Everblades this season. The second-year pro has appeared in 74 career ECHL games with Florida, posting 25 goals and 50 points with 65 penalty minutes. The 5-10, 178-pound forward also appeared in one career regular season game and one career Calder Cup Playoff game with the Admirals last season.

McGinnis rejoins the Crunch having posted 11 points (1g, 10a), and a plus-3 rating in 33 games with the Everblades this season. The 6-2, 206-pound blue liner went scoreless with six penalty minutes in 11 games with Syracuse earlier this season. Last season, McGinnis posted 23 points in 30 games with the Kalamazoo Wings, while adding eight points in 15 playoffs games to help lead the Wings to an appearance in the ECHL Kelly Cup Finals. The Flint, Michigan native is 2005 sixth-round selection of the Los Angeles Kings.

Florida plays host to the Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday. Fans can enjoy $2 drafts, $2 wines, and $2 hot dogs all night long. Florida will also play the Wings on March 2 & 3 for Pink in the Rink Weekend .
