Tonight, they look to keep their distance from ninth-place Gwinnett as they face the Greenville Road Warriors in the second game of a three-in-three at the BI-LO Center. The 2010-11 season series between Cincy and Greenville is currently split at a game apiece, with both meetings getting decided in the extra session (including last night's 3-2 shootout win for the Road Warriors). From an standings perspective, the 'Clones hold a three-point cushion over Gwinnett for the eighth and final playoff spot - however, the Gladiators currently have a game in hand.
SCOUTING THE ROAD WARRIORS: Dean Stork's club continues to have great success at home this season, improving to 21-9-1 at the BI-LO Center. Their victory last night also propelled them over the Reading Royals and into the top spot of the Eastern Conference standings - although the Royals have two games in hand. With another assist last night, former Cyclone Jimmy Kilpatrick now ranks 13th on the ECHL's scoring list, amassing 52 points (16 goals, 36 assists) in 56 games. Rookie goaltender Nic Riopel has taken over the reins between the Greenville pipes since Dov Grumet-Morris was recalled to the AHL and has earned an league fourth-most 21 wins and a 12th best 2.86 goals-against average.

5 - Elmira* 69 points
6 - Wheeling* 69 points
7 - Florida* 68 points
8 - Cincinnati* 68 points
9 - Gwinnett 65 points
10 - Toledo 61 points
