Crunch Announce Details of Autism Awareness Night

Syracuse, NY (December 8, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch and the Crunch Foundation, the club's charitable arm, announced today that they are teaming up with Autism Speaks for 'Autism Awareness Night' presented by Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC at the Crunch's home game on Saturday, December 11 vs. Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds from the Crunch Foundation Prize Wheel, Chuck-A-Puck and ticket sales will benefit Autism Speaks and the 2011 Central New York Walk Now for Autism Speaks. In addition, the first 500 fans in attendance at the Crunch's Saturday, December 11 game will receive a Joe DiPenta autism awareness poster, courtesy of Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.

Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that inhibits a person's ability to communicate and develop social relationships, and is often accompanied by behavioral challenges. Autism spectrum disorders are diagnosed in one in 110 children in the United States, affecting four times as many boys as girls.

The Crunch conclude their four-game road trip by traveling to Norfolk to take on the Admirals on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:15 p.m. Syracuse returns home to The Oncenter War Memorial Arena on Friday, December 10 vs. Adirondack at 7:30 p.m. Season and single-game tickets for the 2010-11 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in The Oncenter War Memorial Arena, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
