Norfolk, VA (December 8, 2010) - David Laliberte scored his first two goals as a member of the Crunch, J.P. Levasseur made a season-high 44 saves and Josh Green scored his second overtime-winning goal of the season to lift the Syracuse Crunch to a 4-3 win over the Norfolk Admirals tonight at the Scope.

The Crunch finished their four-game road trip with a 2-2-0-0 record and return to The Oncenter War Memorial Arena on Friday, December 10 to take on Adirondack at 7:30 p.m.

The Crunch came out flying to start the game after enduring a humbling 10-3 loss to the Charlotte Checkers just two nights ago. Syracuse took control of the game early with a power play goal from Dan Sexton at the 5:47 mark after Norfolk took back-to-back penalties within the game's first four and a half minutes.

Nathan Paetsch ripped a shot from the point and Sexton found the rebound, burying a backhand over a sprawling Cedrick Desjardins to give the Crunch a 1-0 lead.

Laliberte followed that up just over a minute later with his first goal as a member of the Crunch when he took a feed from Nicolas Deschamps in the slot and fired a bid that beat Desjardins to make it 2-0 before the game was even seven minutes old.

The Crunch kept their foot on the gas pedal and went up 3-0 with 1:09 left in the first on Laliberte's second score of the night. Laliberte took a pass from Maxime Macenauer, skated in down the left side and let go a wrister that beat Desjardins low along the ice. Syracuse outshot Norfolk by a 12-11 margin in the first frame.

Syracuse kept its three-goal lead through the game's first 40 minutes, despite being outshot by Norfolk 20-7 in the second period.

Norfolk finally got on the board just 1:14 into the third period when Marc-Antoine Pouliot stuffed in a loose puck from the side of the net past Levasseur to make it 3-1.

The Admirals struck again when Matt Fornataro had an easy tap-in goal after a pass from Ty Wishart to cut the Crunch's lead to 3-2 at the 7:34 mark.

Norfolk completed its comeback and tied the game at 3-3 just 23 seconds later when Pouliot's shot trickled over the goal line, prompting Crunch head coach Mark Holick to call a timeout.

Both teams traded chances the rest of the period, but neither could tally the go-ahead goal, forcing the game to overtime.

In overtime, Green corralled a loose puck at center ice, broke in all alone on Desjardins and slipped a backhand by the Norfolk netminder with 2:10 left to seal the Crunch's 4-3 win.
