Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

The Crosscutters had their best offensive performance of the season, but they came up short in a 12-6 loss to the Jamestown Jammers.

The Cutters trailed 4-0 after 3 innings until Zach Green took one out of the park for the second time this season. It was a two-run shot and the Cutters trailed 4-2.

Jamestown pulled away in the fourth and sixth innings before Williamsport came through again.

Andrew Knapp singled to right field and advanced to second on a fielding error by Jesus Vasquez. After a single by Sam Hiciano, Gabriel Lino crushed his first home run to left field and the Cutters trailed 10-5. It's his first home run in a Crosscutters uniform.

The Jammers scored one in the top of the seventh and the Crosscutters were able to get one more run in the bottom half of the inning. Angelo Mora hit his first professional home run with a solo shot to left field.

Jamestown put the game away with a run in the eighth. Danny Collins led off with a single to right field. Keivi Rojas walked Edwin Espinal and Vasquez to load the bases for Jimmy Rider. He made it to first on a force out and Collins scored from third.

The Crosscutters fall to 1-3 and play game two of the three-game series at the Jammers Friday at 7:05 P.M.
