
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Cincinnati Cyclones

For the third time in their past four games and the sixth time this season the Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Cincinnati Cyclones. On the season, the K-Wings are 2-2-0-1 versus the Cyclones and were victorious in their previous visit to Cincinnati back on December 10th.
Something will have to give for the K-Wings tonight. Kalamazoo enters the US Bank Arena on a season-high two-game overall losing streak; however, the K-Wings are also riding a four-game road winning streak. With 24 points, the K-Wings enter tonight in tied with the Fort Wayne Komets for third place in the North Division.
Since losing 3-1 to the K-Wings last Tuesday, the Cyclones have rattled off victories in back-to-back games to regain first place honors in the North Division. So far this season, the Cyclones have struggled at home, as they enter tonight with a record of 5-5-0-0 at the US Bank Arena.

Kaunisto Returns
Forward Ray Kaunisto has been returned from loan from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch and will be in K-Wings lineup tonight. Kaunisto scored a goal in six games for the Crunch.
Firing Squad Last Saturday, the K-Wings posted 20 shots on net in the final period of their 4-1 loss to the Fort Wayne Komets. The 20 shots ties a season-high (11/01 Vs Toledo) for most shots in a single period for the K-Wings.
On the Road Again
Kalamazoo will head back on the road this Tuesday to battle the Cincinnati Cyclones and to continue a streak. The K-Wings will be looking to extend their season-high four-game road winning streak.
Snapping a Streak
The K-Wings will head into the week looking to snap a two-game losing streak. The two-game streak ties Kalamazoo's longest streak of the season.
