Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that the Capitals have recalled goaltender Brandon Anderson from Reading and reassigned him to Hershey. In other transactions undertaken today, the Royals (i) signed Josh Watson as the team's emergency back-up goaltender; and (ii) placed defenseman Ryan Kavanagh on team suspension.

This is the fourth stint as an EBG for Watson with the Royals. Kavanagh, a third year pro from Kirkland, Quebec, recorded seven points (1g-6a) and four penalty minutes in nineteen games with Reading. He has informed the team that he intends to pursue an opportunity in European professional hockey.
