Florida's Cann Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Trevor Cann of the Florida Everblades is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of Dec. 9-15.

The 24-year-old went 4-0-0 with a 2.40 goals-against average and a save percentage of .915 last week, helping the Everblades move into first place in the South Division with 37 points this season.

A native of Oakville, Ontario, Cann opened the week with 22 saves in a 2-1 win at Elmira on Wednesday and then stopped 38 shots in a 4-1 victory at Reading on Friday. He made 24 saves in back-to-back 5-4 shootout wins at Wheeling on Saturday and Sunday, adding seven saves on 10 shootout attempts in the two wins.

Cann has won each of his last five starts, and is 5-2-0 in eight appearances this season with Florida and Colorado with a 3.35 goals-against average and a save percentage of .882.

Selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round (49th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Cann has appeared in 45 career games with Lake Erie of the American Hockey League while also holding pro experience with Tulsa of the Central Hockey League.
