
Stockton's Clark Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Andrew Clark of the Stockton Thunder is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 9-15.
Clark scored four goals and added four assists last week as the Thunder went 1-0-1.
The 25-year-old opened the week with two goals and an assist in a 6-5 shootout loss at San Francisco on Saturday and then had a five-point game (2g-3a) in Stockton's 6-5 win against Bakersfield on Sunday.
A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Clark leads ECHL rookies, and is tied for sixth overall in the league, with 26 points (10g-16a) in 24 games. He is second among first-year players in both power-play assists (6) and power-play points (9).
Clark has 31 points (13g-18a) in 28 career regular season games with the Thunder and he added 21 points (7g-14a) in 22 games during the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Prior to turning pro, he played three seasons at Acadia University and four seasons with Brandon of the Western Hockey League.
On behalf of Andrew Clark, a case of pucks will be donated to a Stockton youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 29,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
