Nicholls Returns to Road Warriors, Rank Released

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today forward Josh Nicholls has been reassigned to the team after being recalled to the Hartford Wolf Pack. In a separate transaction, goaltender Kyle Rank has been released.

Nicholls, 21, skated in four games with the Wolf Pack after his recall on November 30th. The Tsawwassen, British Columbia native began the season with Greenville scoring two goals and two assists in 16 games played. The 6'3'' 192 lbs. forward was drafted by the Maple Leafs in 2010.

Rank, 26, backed-up goaltender Scott Stajcer for two games. Last season, he split his time between the Knoxville Ice Bears and the Fayetteville FireAntz in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The Islip, New York native spent the majority of his time with Fayetteville where he posted a 6-5-2 record with a .898 save percentage and a 3.04 goals against average.
