
Cougars Win Series Opener

Drew Thompson singled and stole second in the first inning. Erik Lis then singled in Thompson, giving Beloit a 1-0 lead. Kane County tied the game in the top of the second. The Cougars exploded for five runs in the top of fourth off starter Ryan Mullins, taking a 6-1 lead. In the eighth, Kane County tacked on two more runs, pushing their advantage to 8-1. The Snappers were out hit 11-6 tonight. Mullins suffered his first loss of the season, dropping his record to 1-1.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Cougars play game two of this four game series Saturday, May 13 at Pohlman Field. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm. Following the game tomorrow night will be the first fireworks show of the season.
