Cedar Rapids based Perfect Game USA, the world's largest baseball scouting report service, will hold its annual National Pre-Draft Showcase event at Veterans Memorial Stadium on May 15th.
The event will feature roughly 50 of the top prospects in the country as well as several free agents from the Dominican Republic. The Perfect Game National Pre-Draft Showcase draws hundreds of scouts from major league teams, including national cross checkers and Major League Baseball scouting directors.
Several recent .rst round draft picks, including Seattle Mariners prospect and Marshalltown native Jeff Clement, have been among the participants in past Pre-Draft Showcases. The list of alumni also includes major league players like Tampa Bay Devil Rays all-star Carl Crawford and the Atlanta Braves' Brian McCann.
