Cougars Acquire Matteo Danis from Calgary Hitmen

PRINCE GEORGE BC - General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb has announced the acquisition of forward Matteo Danis (05) from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick in the WHL Prospect's Draft.

Danis, 18, owned 27 points (12-15-27) in the 2022-2023 season with the Hitmen. The Calgary, AB product has suited up in eight games this season for the Hitmen and has collected two goals in that span.

"Matteo is a player that we have had interest in for a while," commented GM & Head Coach Mark Lamb. "He is a good team player with a scoring touch."

Before his time in the WHL, Danis played with the Calgary Royals U18 program in 2021-2022. He compiled 32 points (11-21-32) in 34 games played.
