Condors Offer Christmas Trees To Needy Families
December 19, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors with the help of a local proprietor are offering free Christmas trees to needy families. Needy families, or those that know of a needy family or individual, should contact the community relations department of the Bakersfield Condors at 324-PUCK (7825).
"We are happy to be able to brighten the holiday season for local families," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "We appreciate our supplier for the donation and hope that these trees bring joy to the families that receive them."
The trees will be distributed on a first-come first- served basis to families that would otherwise not be able to obtain a tree this season. All families receiving a tree will need to arrange pick-up at the Rabobank Arena on Thursday, December 22nd between 3-5pm.
On Monday, December 26th, the Condors return home to take on the Las Vegas Wranglers. All fans in attendance will receive a free Condors holiday poster courtesy of UPN-45 and Rio Bravo Country Club. The team will also celebrate the Canadian tradition of Boxing Day and fans are invited to box up their older gifts for donation to Goodwill Industries. The 26th also marks the second Condors Kids Club game of the season. Members of the Kids Club will receive free admission to the game when presenting their membership card to the box office prior to the game.
Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena box office, by phone at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
