BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - G Dave McKee made 45 saves in net for the Bakersfield Condors, but it wasn't enough as the Victoria Salmon Kings picked up a 3-0 win before 8,008 fans at Rabobank Arena Wednesday afternoon. Today's game was the Condors 5th annual Businessperson's Special/Field Trip Day Game.

McKee was the story for the Condors (2-4-1, 5pts), called upon early and often as Victoria (4-6-0, 8pts) went on the attack. He stopped 17 shots in the first frame alone, while Bakersfield managed 10 shots in the scoreless period.

The second period was a shooting gallery as well, with Victoria holding a 17-11 lead in that department. They took the lead on the scoreboard with a power play goal from RW Olivier Labelle at 11:30. The frame ended with the Salmon Kings holding on to the narrow advantage. Despite Victoria's goal, McKee racked up 33 saves through two periods.

Victoria added to their lead at 7:15 of the third period, with the first of the season by RW Sean O'Connor, who finished off a 2-on-1 rush with a perfect shot over McKee. O'Connor's second of the game sailed into the empty net in the final minute, with the Condors goaltender pulled for the extra attacker. Salmon Kings G Jonathan Boutin made 28 saves for his first shutout of the season.
