ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that the fan votes have been tabulated and forward Brad Herauf is the winner of the 2008 Everblades Bobblehead election!
The second-year Everblade outlasted the three other candidates during the 11 days of voting on www.floridaeverblades.com. On October 24, fans that attended the Everblades game vs. South Carolina nominated Herauf along with fellow forwards Kevin Baker, Ernie Hartlieb and Colin Nicholson to be the Everblades bobblehead. Voting began the next day and ran through 11:59 p.m. on November 4.
Herauf took home the most votes with 4,702. Everblades newcomers Baker (3,250 votes) and Nicholson (2,359) were second and third with Hartlieb, who was seeking to be the first ever repeat Everblades bobblehead, finished 4th with 375 votes.
The Brad Herauf bobblehead will be given away to the first 2,500 fans that attend the Everblades game on April 3 vs. Mississippi Sea Wolves.
