The Condors scored first and but then had to fight to tie the game in the third period in Reading. They couldn't hold on in the shootout, suffering a 3- 2 shootout loss. Vlad Serov and Guy Dupuis both scored for Bakersfield, who had their five-game winning streak halted. It was only the second time all season that a North Division opponent took two points against the Condors, and on both occasions it was in a shootout.
Wednesday, Condors 5 @ Atlantic City 2
Despite the Condors taking the 1-0 lead on a Vlad Serov goal, Atlantic City took the lead heading into the third period. But Bakersfield exploded for four third period goals to seize their sixth victory on a seven-game road trip, 5-2 over the first place Boardwalk Bullies. Dennis Shiryaev, Tony Lawrence, Todd Alexander and Lars-Peder Nagel all scored for the Condors in the final stanza while Yutaka Fukufuji stopped 33 shots for the win.
Saturday, Condors 3 vs. Las Vegas 1; attn: 7,508
All four goals on Saturday were scored in the opening 15 minutes of play and the Condors held on for the win over Las Vegas. Connor James, Tony Lawrence and Dennis Shiryaev tallied for Bakersfield and the two teams combined for over 70 minutes in penalties and 20 power play opportunities. Yutaka Fukufuji stopped 25 of 26 shots for his 14th win of the season and fifth straight, and he is now ranked third in the ECHL in wins.
Where we stand
Bakersfield's record is now 23-9-5 for 51 points in the standings. They lead Long Beach by four points in the West Division, and Pensacola and Atlantic City also have 47 points to trail the Condors in the overall standings. Bakersfield leads the league with 23 wins, while four teams have 22 this year.
Acquired
The Condors made another roster move this week, picking up D Dylan Mills, who will join the team on their Idaho road trip. Mills, 26, has 19g-50a- 69pts and 223 PIM in the last two seasons, and has played all three of his professional campaigns with Quad City in the United Hockey League. The Duluth, Minnesota native stands at 5'11", 215-pounds and played four seasons with the University of Minnesota before jumping to the pro ranks.
Mills hails from the same hometown as Condors D Ryan Coole, and started this season in Europe. He was named all WCHA Second Team All-Star his junior season and was an assistant captain during his junior and senior seasons at UM. He led all WCHA defenseman in scoring his junior year, when he amassed 8g-21a-29pts.
What's up this week
The Condors battle the Idaho Steelheads for three games at the Bank of America Center in Boise this week, with games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. All three games start at 6:05 p.m. Pacific Time. The Condors return home on Monday, January 24th against the Fresno Falcons for Ladies' Night, sponsored by Groove 99.3. All ladies can get 2-for-1 tickets to this game, and should stay tuned for an announcement of other activities later this week. Also on Friday, January 28th against Long Beach, the first 2,000 kids 12 and under will receive a bobblehead doll of Condors rookie All-Star Connor James, courtesy of KGET-TV 17 and Carl's Jr.

· Vlad Serov has registered a point in five straight games (3g-3a-6pts).
· Bakersfield is 6-0-2 against the North Division this season, with the five teams they've played a combined 38 games over .500.
· The Condors had their second-biggest crowd of the season on Saturday night, with 7,508 in attendance. They are ranked 6th in the ECHL with an average of 4,902 per game.
· Eight of the next 10 Condors games will be on the road, including stops in Idaho, Alaska, San Diego and Fresno.
· D David Kudelka returned to the lineup on Saturday night after missing seven games and 12 of the last 13 contests since December 17th. He was +1 with no points on Saturday.
· Bakersfield still has six players on Injured Reserve. Five players - D Ryan Coole, C Mike Hofstrand, C Krzysztof Wieckowski, RW Brad Mehalko, RW Ashlee Langdone - are on the 30-day IR, while D Likit Andersson is on the 7-day.
· G Yutaka Fukufuji has won five straight starts and is tied for third in the ECHL with 14 victories.
· The line of C Lars-Peder Nagel - LW Vlad Serov - RW Dennis Shiryaev has recorded at least one point in 11 games as has accounted for 21 points in the last seven games.
