Ice Pilots Go 2-1 At Idaho This Weekend

Ice Pilots go vs. Idaho in weekend series at Boise. The Ice Pilots defeated Idaho 4-2 on Friday night in front of 4,043 fans in Boise, Idaho. Jason Beckett, Dwayne Hay, Alex Materuhkin and Cory Stillman scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Scott Burt and Warren Peters scored goals for Idaho. The Ice Pilots had 31 shots on goal, 19 penalty minutes and went 1-5 on the power play. Idaho had 34 shots on goal, 17 penalty minutes and went 2-5 on the power play. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie and Frank Doyle took the loss for Idaho.

The Ice Pilots lost to Idaho last Saturday night in front of 4,832 fans in Boise. Scott May scored the only goal of the game for the Ice Pilots. Bobby Russell and Matt Elich scored the goals for Idaho. Frederic Cloutier was the losing goalie and Frank Doyle picked up the win in goal for the Steelheads. The Ice Pilots had 27 shots on goal, 26 penalty minutes and went 0-5 on the power play. Idaho had 21 shots on goal, 28 penalty minutes and went 1-4 on the power play.

The Ice Pilots won 5-1 at Idaho on Sunday. Dwayne Hay scored two goals, Cory Stillman, Jason Beckett and Scott May also scored goals. The Ice Pilots went 3-7 on the power play. Idaho outshot the Ice Pilots 31-30. Todd Ford was the winning goalie stopping 30 out of 31 shots.

Ice Pilots Western Road Trip continues Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Ice Pilots western road trip continues on Tuesday night vs.Fresno at 9:00 p.m. central time. The Ice Pilots have a record of 0-2-0 vs. Fresno losing twice last season at home by scores of 3-2 and 6-3.

The Ice Pilots will play at Long Beach on Friday at 9:30 p.m. central time and also on Sunday, January 23rd at 7:00 p.m. central time. It will be the first meetings of the year between the two teams.

The Ice Pilots will play at San Diego on Saturday, January 22nd at 9:05 p.m . central time. The Ice Pilots lost to in a shootout to San Diego last year 4-3 and have an all time record of 0-0-1 vs. the Gulls.

NEXT HOME GAMES AND UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: The Ice Pilots next home game will be on Friday, January 28th and Saturday, January 29th vs. Augusta at 7:05 p.m. and will play home to Pee Dee on Sunday, January 30th at 5:05 p.m. January 28th is Hill Kelly Dodge and Hill Kelly Jeep Mardi Gras Night. The Ice Pilots will be wearing special Mardi Gras Jerseys with an auction after the game. A Mardi Gras Parade will take place during both intermissions. Resort Quest Vacation Home Network Fantasy Destination Winner will be announced. It is also a Florida Lottery Second Chance Night. The first 100 tickets for the game on Friday and also on Saturday night will get a ticket to the game. All of the Florida Lottery Tickets have been used for the 28th and there are about 30 tickets left for Saturday, January 29th as it is also another Florida Lottery Second Chance Night . Saturday, January 29th Miss U.S.A. will be at the game sponsored by WEAR TV 3. Miss U.S.A. will sign autographs and drop the ceremonial puck. It is also NASCAR Night. Fans who wear Nascar apparel to the game will receive $2 off a game day ticket. The #9 Kasey Kahne Car will be at the plaza for photos. It is also Escambia County Night. Sunday is Family Day vs. Pee Dee at 5:05 p.m. A family of four can purchase 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas for $44 by calling the Ice Pilots at 432 -PUCK. The Ice Pilots will sign autographs after the game for kids club members only and their will be an after the game skate with team for kids club members only.

Leading Scorers: Tyler Beechey leads the Ice Pilots in scoring with 44 points and also leads the team with 19 goals and 25 assists. Beechey is the second leading scorer in the league with 44 points and is among the league leaders in goals with 19. Dwayne Hay is the second leading scorer on the team with 29 points. Corey Nielson is among the top scoring defenseman in the league with 27 points.

Ice Pilots All Stars: The Ice Pilots Dave Farrish will coach the American Conference in the Coors Light ECHL All-Star game on Wednesday, January 26th in Reading, Pennsylvania. Corey Nielson will be the starting defenseman for the American Conference and Todd Ford will represent the Ice Pilots as a back up goalie. Equipment Manager John Krouse will be the equipment manager for the American Conference.

WFGX TV will televise the Coors Light ECHL All-Star game live beginning at 6:00 p.m. central time.

Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Dwayne Hay has been nominated for player of the week scoring 3 gaols. Todd Ford has been nominated for goalie of the week stopping 30 out of 31 shots in the 5-1 vs. Idaho on Sunday. Hay has been nominated the Dodge/Player of the Week.

Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com. Jordan Krestanovich is the Ice Pilots top scorer after seven games with 12 points. Tyler Beechey is second with 9 points and Corey Neilson is third with 8 points.

GEICO Three Stars of the Game: GEICO will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots Three Stars of the Game once again on th e Ice Pilots Hockey Network this season and at every home game. Three lucky fans at home games will receive a t-shirt from the GEICO Three Stars of the Game this season. Subway Alumni Game and Top Ten list for Hall of Fame Voting. The Subway Alumni Game is set for Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. before the Ice Pilots will play Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. Etienne Beaudry, Craig Brown, Eon MacFarlane, Christian Sbrocca, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard, Andrew Rodgers, Shane Calder, Chad Quenneville, Scott LaGrand, Scott Malone and Kelly Hultgren along with Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr will play in the Subway Alumni Game. Other members will be announced. Members of the Jr. Ice Pilots and Senior League will also participate. Vote for the Subway Ice Pilots Hall of Fame as the top ten finalists are Chad Quenneville, Glen Metropolit, Sean Gauthier, Shane Calder, Nick Stajduhar, Christian Sbrocca, Kelly Hultgren, John Tripp, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard and Brendan Concannon. Fans have the opportunity to select two out of the top ten finalist s at www.icepilots.com. on the Subway Hall of Fame voting. A couple of players will be selected to have their name on the Subway Hall of Fame banner on the night of February 26th. The voting will end on January 31st and an announcement of the players being inducted will be in early February.

Alumni Jersey Auction is Underway: The Ice Pilots are proud to announce that the Alumni Jerseys that the Ice Pilots alumni and current players will be wearing on Subway Alumni Night Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. with the Subway Alumni Game followed by the Ice Pilots vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. is underway at www.icepilots.com Proceeds of the auction will go to the Hurricane Relief Fund in Northwest Florida.

The alumni jerseys are in the color of navy blue with the letters Pensacola written on the front of the jersey in gold with white trim. It is the first time ever that a jersey has been done like this in the organization. The minimum bid for the jerseys is $200 and the auction will go until the middle of February.

Other miscellaneous game worn jerseys and non game worn jerseys will also be auctioned with the alumni jerseys. The winners of the alumni jerseys will be able to have their picture taken with the players on Subway Alumni Night after the game.

Season Ticket Packages are available with year round payments: Full season ticket packages and 16 game packages are available with year round payments. The following is a list of the full season ticket plan with year round payments: $22 seats for floor and glass is $49.99 per month, $15 seats for sides is $35.99 per month, $13 seats for goal and lower upper level is $32.99 per month, $10 seats for upper level is $24.99 per month.

Season tickets cost $649.44 for floor and glass seats, $459.00 for sides, $411.84 for behind the goal and lower upper level seats and $324.00 for upper level seats.

Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have nine players on the roster assigned from Toronto. Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular s eason. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Listen to games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network with the new Ice Pilots Flagship radio home AM 1620: Fans can listen to Ice Pilots games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network. The network includes new flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications and at icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game will also be taped delayed by Leafs TV. The pre-game show for Tuesday's night game begins at 8:45 p.m. central time. The pre game show for Friday night begins at 9:15 p.m. central time. The pre game show begins on Saturday night at 8:50 p.m. central time and the pre game show for Sunday begins at 6:45 p.m. central time.

Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.

Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. The games at Long Beach on Friday and Sunday and the game at San Diego on Saturday night will b e available as a pay per view webcast offer.

Ice Pilots Radio Show at the Gutter Lounge again this season: The Ice Pilots Radio show will once again be broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street. The show is broadcasted on the Ice Pilots hockey network from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans can hear the radio show on the Ice Pilots new flagship radio station AM 1620 and on the internet at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans can meet the players, head coach Dave Farrish and members of the Ice Pilots office staff all season long. The next Ice Pilots Coaches Radio Show will be Monday, January 31st. There is no coaches radio show on Monday, January 24th because of the Ice Pilots playing on the West Coast.
