
Royals post 3-0-1 record to climb to third place in the North

Reading Royals News Release
The Reading Royals began the week in fine fashion. The Royals were skating in their third consecutive week of four or more games. Tuesday, Reading and Bakersfield met for the second time in less than a week. The Royals avenged their shootout loss the Friday before with a 3-2 shootout win in the Sovereign Center. Ryan Kinasewich converted as the final shooter to help Reading convert four of five opportunities. The battle-tested Royals took on Atlantic City Friday night in the Sovereign Center. Reading's 4-1 victory was their first over the Bullies in three tries this season. Three Royals tallied their first goals of the season, while Barry Brust turned away 32 shots to record the victory. The Royals traveled to Atlantic City on Saturday for the second time this season. The Royals lost in a shootout 4-3 as Fraiser Clair scored two goals and an assist, plus the game winner for the Bullies. The Royals with just 13 skaters rebounded Sunday afternoon with a 4-2 win over Toledo. The Royals improved to 7-2-4 all-time with the victory against the Storm
Reading will play just two games prior to the ECHL All-Star break. The Royals will host a pair of games against the second place Trenton Titans in the Sovereign Center. Friday, CTCE Federal Credit Union is rewarding the first 1,000 kids 12-and-under a Royals lunch sack. Saturday, Reading and Trenton meet again at 7:05 in the Sovereign Center and the first 2,500 fans receive an ECHL All-Star Ryan Kinasewich souvenir card courtesy of Diamond Credit Union.

GAME NOTES: Jeff Miles tallied two goals in regulation and for the second straight home game Ryan Kinasewich scored the game winner in the shootout as the game's final shooter. Reading's 3-2 shootout victory was the fifth straight win for goaltender Matt Yeats, who stopped 31 shots.
Friday, January 14 vs. Atlantic City Sovereign Center 7:05PM ET
GAME NOTES: For the first time this season Reading beat Atlantic City, 4-1. The Royals record improved to 1-2-0 this season and 10-17-2 all-time. Nick Greenough, Adam Borzecki (GW) and Jamie O'Leary each tallied their first goals of the season. Eric Fortier added an empty-net goal for Reading, while Barry Brust recorded his 11th victory of the season.
Saturday, January 15 @ Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall 7:05PM ET
GAME NOTES: Atlantic City edged Reading 4-3 in a shootout in a wild affair that saw the Royals clank the puck off the post two times in the final seconds of regulation. Ian Turner notched a goal and an assist in a losing cause. Reading dropped to 1-2-1 against the Bullies this season.
Sunday, January 16 vs. Toledo Sovereign Center 5:05PM ET
GAME NOTES: Reading improved to 2-0-1 all-time in the Sovereign Center against Toledo. The Royals jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Jon Francisco (1g SH, 1a) and leading scorer Jeff Miles (1g). The 4-2 victory was the fourth straight for Reading in the Sovereign Center and ninth win overall at home.

GAME NOTES: Reading and Trenton meet for the fifth time this season and the first of back-to-back games in the Sovereign Center. The Royals have posted a 1-3-0 record against the Titans this season and are searching for their first win on home ice (0-2-0).
Saturday, January 22 vs. Trenton Sovereign Center 7:05PM ET
GAME NOTES: After this contest, the Royals and Titans will meet just one more time in the Sovereign Center (3/20/05). The Royals have a 12-19-2 all-time record versus Trenton and are 7-7-2 record in the Sovereign Center.

Barry Brust recorded his team-leading 11th and 12th victories at home this week. The Swan River, Manitoba native stopped 27 shots Friday in the Sovereign Center to give Reading its first win over Atlantic City this season, 4-1. Sunday afternoon Brust beat Toledo, 4-2, making 21 saves in the victory.

Mischler was even or plus in all four games he played in this week. After being held scoreless Tuesday in the Royals 3-2 shootout win over Bakersfield Tuesday night, Mischler scored a point or more in the next three games. He chipped in two assists in Reading's 4-1 win over Atlantic City Friday, Saturday he registered one assist in the Royals 4-3 shootout defeat in Atlantic City and finally on Sunday he tallied a goal and an assist in Reading's 4-2 victory over Toledo.
