THE WEEK AHEAD
Tuesday, January 18th Inferno vs. Greenville Grrrowl Carolina Coliseum
Greenville is tied for third place in the East Division along with the Inferno with 39 points. The Inferno has four games at hand on Greenville. Columbia is 4-0-0 this season against the Grrrowl and 20-6-1 all time. This is the fifth of 10 meetings between these two teams.
Friday, January 21st Inferno vs. SC Stingrays Carolina Coliseum
The Inferno is 3-2-1 against the Stingrays this season and 18-8-2 all time. This is the seventh of 10 meetings between the Inferno and Stingrays. South Carolina is in fifth place in the East Division with 37 points (17-14-3).
Saturday, January 22nd Inferno vs. Charlotte Checkers Carolina Coliseum
This is the seventh out of 10 meetings between Charlotte and Columbia. The Checkers are in first place of the East Division with 46 points (22-13-2) in 37 games. The Inferno has only played 32 games on the season. Columbia is 2-3-1 against Charlotte this season and 13-5-3 all time.

Tuesday, January 11th Inferno 2 SOUTH CAROLINA 5
The Stingrays scored two early and quick goals in the first period as they take the game from the Inferno. Brad Ralph scored with a wrap-around goal at 19:05 of the first period with as assist to D'Arcy McConvey to bring the Inferno back to within a point. On the power play, Chanse Fitzpatrick scores with a back door tip in with help from McConvey and Trevor Demmans to tie the game at two. The Stingrays would have scored three unanswered goals, two power play goals and empty netter, as they skate past the Inferno 5-2. Rob McVicar stopped 21 of 25 shots on goal and the Inferno out shot the Stingrays 20-26.
Friday, January 14th Inferno 0 AUGUSTA 4
The Augusta Lynx shut the Inferno down as they score four goals in their win Friday night. Todd Bennett scored at 8:14 of the first period to put Augusta on the board first. With no scoring in the second period, Louis Goulet, Jamie Johnson and Matt Dzieduszycki each scored for the Lynx in the third period. Mike Minard played in goal for the Inferno stopping 23 of 27 shots on goal.
Saturday, January 15th INFERNO 4 Florida 3 (OT)
Chanse Fitzpatrick scored the game-winning goal 32 seconds into the overtime period to lift the Inferno past the Florida Everblades 4-3. Trevor Demmans scored his first goal of the season at 8:58 of the first period with passes from Bryson Busniuk and Walker McDonald. Busniuk added the second goal at 11:07 when McDonald and Erik Eaton set him up. Florida came within one goal at 18:06 as Damian Surma scores his 18th goal of the season. At the nine-minute mark of the second period, Andy Berg gave the Inferno a 3-1 lead as he nets his second goal of the season. Matt Ulwelling and Fitzpatrick had the assists. Florida scored the next two goals to tie the game and push it into overtime.
