They did so with three runs on a two-run home run from Logan Warmoth and an RBI double by Spencer Horwitz. Buffalo scored again in the seventh on a wild pitch to take a 6-2 lead.

An RBI double from Narciso Crook highlighted a three-run eighth for Iowa to cut the lead to one, but Trent Thornton recorded the final four outs to close out Buffalo's third victory of the series.
