El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The Fresno Grizzlies snuck past the El Paso Chihuahuas 2-1 Tuesday afternoon and won three of the five games in the series. The Chihuahuas ended their nine-game road trip with five wins and four losses.

After the first 10 Chihuahuas were set down, Carlos Asuaje hit a ground ball single in the top of the fourth and later scored on an RBI single by Diego Goris. Jack Mayfield's game-tying RBI in the fourth and go-ahead RBI in the sixth put Fresno ahead to stay. Dillon Overton pitched well in the loss for El Paso, allowing two runs in 5.1 innings.

The Chihuahuas loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh inning but Fresno starter Josh James kept all three runners on base, ending the inning on Luis Urias' fly ball to the warning track in center field.
