May 29, 2018 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Oklahoma City Comets News Release
Nashville, Tenn. - Tuesday's game between the Oklahoma City Dodgers and Nashville Sounds at First Tennessee Park has been postponed due to rain and expected severe weather from Subtropical Storm Alberto.
The Dodgers and Sounds will make up Tuesday's game when the Dodgers return to Nashville July 20-22. The exact date of the doubleheader has yet to be determined. The two teams ended up splitting the rain-shortened four-game series, and the Dodgers finished their road trip with a 3-5 record.
The Dodgers open a five-game home series against the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in a series highlighted by several special promotions.
¡CelebraciÃ"n Cielo Azul! begins with Thursday's 7:05 p.m. game as the OKC Dodgers will take the field as Cielo Azul de Oklahoma City for the first time this season. Cielo Azul - the team's identity for the Minor League Baseball® "Es Divertido Ser Un Fan®" initiative - will face off against Cazadores de Tormentas de Omaha. Professional luchador Blue Demon Jr. will make a special appearance at the game, which falls on a $2 Thursday featuring $2 Pepsi products, bottled water and select beer.
Cielo Azul's series against Omaha continues at 7:05 p.m. Friday. The gates open at 6 p.m. and the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive an OKC Dodgers Water Bottle, presented by Tyler Media. Fireworks are scheduled to follow the game, presented by Oklahoma City University.
Saturday is Faith Night, presented by Southern Nazarene University and featuring a pregame concert by Unspoken, as Cielo Azul continues its series against Omaha at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for groups of 10 or more cost $15 each and each member of the group receives admission to the faith-based concert, as well as a limited edition OKC Dodgers baseball hat.
Sunday's 2:05 p.m. game falls on a Chaparral Energy Family Sunday, featuring pregame player autographs, a mascot meet-and-greet, face painters, inflatables and postgame kids run the bases.
Tickets are available through the OKC Dodgers ticket office located on South Mickey Mantle Drive, by phone at (405) 218-1000, or by visiting okcdodgers.com. Live coverage of each game begins 15 minutes before first pitch on AM 1340 "The Game," 1340thegame.com, or through the free iHeartRadio mobile app.
