
Chiefs Sign Defensman From University of New Brunswick

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today, that they have signed defenseman Mike Dombkiewicz (Dom-ka-witz).
Dombkiewicz, 25, appeared in 28 games for the University of New Brunswick (CIS) this season, scoring 8 goals and 27 points. The 6'1, 215 LBS native of Buffalo, NY began his collegiate career with the University of Prince Edward Island (CIS) where he had 5 goals and 16 points in 30 games. He transferred to UNB his junior year.
Dombkiewicz, played five seasons in the Ontario hockey league with Guelph and Owen Sound. In 1998-99, he had 13 goals and 63 points in 66 games. In 222, career OHL games he had 34 goals and 156 points.
The Chiefs will play their final two regular season games this weekend before beginning their quest for the Kelly Cup. Friday night they are at Reading, and Saturday night, at Trenton. Both games are at 7:00 p.m.
