Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors end the season with two home games this Friday and Saturday, both starting at 7:00pm at Centennial Garden.

Friday, the San Diego Gulls arrive for the first time since November 21st for Nesting Doll Night sponsored by Groove 99.3, A-Plus Plumbing Heating & Air, 3-Way Chevrolet, and Oreck Floor Care Center. The first 2,000 fans receive a Condors nesting doll featuring Condors D Jonas Lennartsson, D Jimmy Drolet, and C Andrew Ianiero. The night is also 29 Eyewitness News & McDonald's Condors Classroom Champions night. Students who achieved outstanding attendance this year receive a complimentary ticket to tonight's game.

Then on Saturday, April 3rd the Condors finish up the season for a special night as they host the Las Vegas Wranglers for Jersey Giveaway Night sponsored by KGET-TV 17, K-Lite 105.3, and McDonald's. The first 2,000 children 12 and under will receive a special Condors replica jersey.

On Saturday, the Condors will honor Defenseman Glen Mears and Center Paul Willett in a special retirement ceremony during the first intermission. Mears and Willett have combined for a total of 13 years in a Condors sweater.

Also, Saturday is a Big Buddies Night. Underprivileged children will be given the opportunity to attend the game for free thanks to local organizations and the Active 20/30 Club. Former Condors back-up goaltender and resident author Ken Baker will make his return to Bakersfield on the second anniversary of his win over Idaho to autograph copies of his chronicle of the 2001-2002 season, "They Don't Play Hockey in Heaven". Season ticket holders, don't forget that Saturday is your last chance to take advantage of the Never-A-Wasted-Ticket program. Full season ticket holders may exchange unused seats for an equal or lesser value ticket. Also fans, can receive a $1.00 hotdog with purchase of a regular drink.

All Condors games, home and away, can be heard on KGEO AM 1230, and online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com. "Condors Countdown" starts 15 minutes prior to game time, with Kevin Bartl handling the play-by-play.

Individual seats are on sale now, and may be purchased through the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.

Condors droppings: Former Condors Defenseman Garrett Stroshein is expected to make his National Hockey League debut for the Washington Capitals against the Boston Bruins tonight in Boston. Stroshein, who played during the 2001-2002 playoffs with the Condors, left Condors training camp in 2002 to join Washington's American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland (ME) Pirates.
