
Checkers raise over $38,000 for Victory Junction Gang Camp

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers united with a number of organizations to help raise over $38,000 for Victory Junction Gang Camp. In addition, a surprise presentation of a special edition AutoTrader.com golf cart was presented to the camp from AutoTrader.com and Rick Davenport Auto Sales in front of a crowd of over 8500 people on January 19th at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
The Checkers welcomed Austin Petty, drivers, Victory Junction Gang campers, their families and staff to the event. The occasion featured camper Will "Cheese" Kwapil singing the National Anthem, Extreme Ice bumper car race, driver autographs, Zamboni display and a sneak peak of the Gordon Racing School "Car of Tomorrow".
