
Wildcatters' Rosa Named In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Texas Wildcatters forward Marco
Rosa is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 15-21,
2007.
Playing three out of four games on the road, the 6-foot and 190-pound Rosa
had six goals and two assists as the Wildcatters went 3-1-0 to move within
one point of South Division leader Gwinnett.
The Scarborough, Ontario native scored a goal in each of the team's games,
including two game-winning goals and three power-play goals, and he has a
four-game goal streak (6g) and four-game scoring streak (6g-2a).
The 25-year-old had a power-play goal, the game-winning goal and an assist
on Jan. 15 in a 5-4 win at Gwinnett and scored a goal in a 4-2 loss at
Pensacola on Jan. 19. He had his fifth two-goal game of the season with a
power-play goal and the game-winning goal in a 5-2 win at Pensacola on Jan.
20 and added another power-play goal and an assist in a 6-3 win against
Pensacola on Jan. 21.
Selected in the eighth round (255th overall) by the Dallas Stars in the
2001 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Rosa has 31 points (16g-15a) in 22
games with Texas while also playing in the American Hockey League for
Houston where he has two points (1g-1a) in five games and Providence where
he has two points (0g-2a) in 12 games.
In his third season in the ECHL, Rosa has 99 points (52g-47a) in 100
regular season games with Texas and Long Beach and two points (0g-2a) in
seven Kelly Cup Playoff games with Long Beach while also playing in the AHL
where he has eight points (3g-5a) in 44 games with Milwaukee, Houston and
Providence.

Rosa, a case of pucks will be donated to a Beaumont area youth hockey
organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the
ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co
has donated more than 15,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL
cities.
